Plunder and Deceit: Big Government's Exploitation of Young People and the Future

Plunder and Deceit: Big Government's Exploitation of Young People and the Future
"This book is, against heavy odds, an appeal to reason and audacity. It is intended for all Americans but particularly for the rising generation, which is the primary, albeit not singular, target and casualty of the federal Leviathan’s improprieties. It is an appeal to younger people to find the personal strength and will to break through the cycle of statist propaganda and manipulation, unrelenting emotional overtures, and the pressure of groupthink, which are humbling, dispiriting, and absorbing them; to stand up as individuals and collectively against the strong hand of centralized government, which if left unabated will assuredly condemn them to economic and societal calamity” -- page 182

It certainly has been a rough seven years for those of us who revere liberty and cherish the Constitution of the United States. Barack Obama, with the assistance of his minions in the federal bureaucracy, the lapdogs in the Congress and the co-conspirators in the mainstream media has been systematically dismantling our nations’ traditions and institutions. The “transformation” of America promised by the President has been taking place at breakneck speed. Millennials bought Obama’s “hope and change” mantra hook, line, and sinker in 2008 and once again in 2012. Well the chickens are now coming home to roost and this generation is being forced to endure a disproportionate amount of the misery. Mark Levin believes that due to the destructive “progressive” policies of the Obama administration people now in their 20s and 30s are in for a pretty rough ride in the years ahead as job opportunities evaporate, health care costs skyrocket, personal liberties are curtailed, standards of living decline and national security is compromised. This is certainly not the outcome that these folks were expecting. In his latest effort “Plunder and Deceit: Big Government’s Exploitation of Young People and the Future” Levin exposes the folly of Obama’s failed policies while imploring younger Americans to reject the statists and to at long last stand up for the principles and values that made this country great. The author makes his case in a thoughtful, rational and extremely workmanlike manner. Much to his credit Mark Levin has not given up on the millennials. As such, this just might be the most important book he has written to date.

In “Plunder and Deceit” Mark Levin tackles all the major issues of our day head on. Among the topics addressed in this book are Obamacare, the exploding national debt, immigration policy, Social Security, education and the environment. Levin makes it crystal clear why the policies touted by the Left are having such a devastating impact on the millennials and illustrates in meticulous detail why free markets and smaller government are the far more preferable options. But this book was not written for the rising generation alone. Americans of all ages will find an abundance of common sense between the covers of this exquisitely crafted volume. So buy it, read it and pass it on. Very highly recommended!
